5 Ways to Make Your Life Run Smoother in an “Average” Week

  1. Add a Power Hour© to your personal and professional daily schedule.
    Power Hour© can be used in your personal life to do things such as:
    • Get your clothes, bags, computers, and keys ready for the next day of work/school
    • Check your emails and phone calls, return the urgent and very important ones
    • Start laundry
    • Pick up the house and sleeping area, put things back in their home (this is great to teach your kids)
    • Pick out your clothes, iron and hang them (if you iron-bluck!)
    • Sort through the mail Power Hour© in your professional life can be task such as:
    • Check your emails and phone calls, return the urgent and very important ones
    • Make calls/emails to set appointments
    • Prepare bag and files with all needed materials for next day appointments
  2. You have 168 hours to spend in your life each week.
    Develop boundaries around your time…develop boundaries for your life.
  3. Don’t keep everything in your brain; it creates subteranean brain chaos.
    Use an electronic scheduling and reminder system to be your brain. It will free up your real brain to put towards more important matters in your life and work. (I.e. Schedule in Power Hours for your personal and professional lives and schedule Life Admin. Tasks that need to be done)
  4. Add a Strategizing Sunday hour to your weekly schedule.
    This hour is for you to spend designing how to spend your next week regarding personal and professional arenas.It can also be the time to read, relax, or mind map your thoughts.
  5. Take a minimum of 15 minutes – 2 hours a day to be all about you.
    This is time set aside for your Daily Passions. Reading a book, taking a yoga class, being with a friend or family member…let your imagination run wild!
